CRUNCHY CRACKLES

INGREDIENTS   (MAKES 85 - SMALL)

1 CUP COCONUT OIL

1/4 CUP PURE MAPLE SYRUP

1/2 CUP + 2 TBS RAW CACAO POWDER

1/2 CUP CHOPPED ALMONDS

1/4 CUP CHIA SEEDS

1 CUP DESSICATED COCONUT

1/4 TSP SEA SALT

2 CUPS BUCKWHEAT GROATS
 

METHOD

• WHISK WET INGREDIENTS IN A MEDIUM BOWL

• ADD IN DRY INGREDIENTS ONE BY ONE, MIXING THOROUGHLY AFTER EACH INGREDIENT IS ADDED

• SCOOP HEAPED TEASPOONS OF MIXTURE INTO PATTY CASES & POP IN THE FRIDGE, TO SET

- I USED LOVING EARTH ACTIVATED BUCKINIS (BUCKWHEAT GROATS).  BUCKWHEAT IS NOT ACTUALLY WHEAT AS ITS NAME SUGGESTS, IT IS THE SEED OF A FRUIT, RELATED TO THE RHUBARB FAMILY.  YOU COULD USE PUFFED BROWN RICE/PUFFED QUINOA ETC OR JUST CHOPPED NUTS TO KEEP THEM GRAIN FREE

- HONEY OR RICE MALT SYRUP COULD BE USED INSTEAD OF MAPLE SYRUP

- YOU COULD ADD IN IN OTHER NUTS/SEEDS/SUPERFOOD POWDERS/DRIED FRUIT ETC FOR ADDED NUTRITION
