METHOD
• PROCESS BASE INGREDIENTS UNTIL COMBINED & PRESS INTO A LINED LOAF TIN
• PROCESS CARAMEL INGREDIENTS UNTIL A SMOOTH PASTE FORMS (YOU WILL NEED TO STOP AND SCRAPE DOWN THE SIDES A FEW TIMES, TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES)
• SPREAD CARAMEL OVER BASE INGREDIENTS
• PROCESS CHOCOLATE INGREDIENTS UNTIL SMOOTH, SPREAD OVER CARAMEL AND POP INTO THE FREEZER AND SLICE ONCE SET
NOTES
– I USED FRESH DATES AND LET THEM SIT AT ROOM TEMP FOR 30MINS BEFORE STARTING MY SLICE, IF YOU ARE USING DRIED DATES, YOU MAY NEED TO SOAK THEM IN HOT WATER FOR 15-30MINS BEFORE USING AS THEY ARE NOT AS SOFT AS FRESH DATES
– I USED SUNFLOWER SEEDS AND PEPITAS TO MAKE THIS RECIPE NUT FREE, BUT YOU COULD USE ALMONDS/CASHEWS/WALNUTS ETC INSTEAD
– YOU COULD ADD IN CHIA SEEDS/PROTEIN POWDER/MACA POWDER ETC TO THE BASE FOR ADDED NUTRIENTS
