Matcha Protein Balls

INGREDIENTS

(MAKES 22 TABLESPOON SIZED BALLS)

5 FRESH MEDJOOL DATES

1/3 CUP COCONUT WATER

1 & ¼ CUPS ALMONDS

½ CUP VANILLA PROTEIN POWDER

1/3 CUP BUCKWHEAT GROATS OR ROLLED OATS

1  TBS MATCHA POWDER

METHOD

• PROCESS ALMONDS AND BUCKWHEAT/OATS UNTIL A CHUNKY MEAL FORMS, SET ASIDE

• PROCESS DATES WITH WATER UNTIL A CHUNKY PASTE FORMS

• ADD DRY INGREDIENTS INTO PASTE UNTIL COMPLETELY COMBINED AND MIXTURE FORMS A DOUGH

• ROLL SPOONFULS OF MIX INTO BALLS & PLACE BALL S INTO AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER, STORE IN THE FRIDGE 

– YOU COULD ADD IN CACAO NIBS/OTHER NUTS AND SEEDS ETC FOR ADDED NUTRIENTS

– YOU COULD USE NORMAL WATER INSTEAD OF COCONUT WATER

– YOU COULD USE DRIED DATES INSTEAD OF FRESH, USE ABOUT 2/3 CUP, SOAK IN HOT WATER FOR 30MINS TO SOFTEN, DRAIN OFF WATER BEFORE USING

– YOU COULD OMIT THE MATCHA POWDER AND ADD IN CACAO POWDER/MINT EXTRACT/ORANGE JUICE/PEANUT BUTTER ETC FOR DIFFERENT FLAVOURS, ADD A LITTLE EXTRA PROTEIN OR BUCKWHEAT/OATS IF ADDING IN A WET INGREDIENT
