Your First Visit
Your first visit – to find out if we can help
On your first visit with our Chiropractor, Dr Traynor will consult with you and discuss your current health situation and any symptoms you are experiencing. This all helps us to assess whether chiropractic care is a good fit for you and your health goals.
If we think we can help you, we will conduct a thorough examination. We will look at your posture, how you bend and move, look at your spine and palpate your spine. All of the testing should be comfortable. In adults we may need to refer you for x-rays, which can be completed on site with our digital x-ray services. X-rays are typically not required with children. This information helps us provide you with more information, and helps to identify the cause or causes of your problem.
You should allow 45 minutes for your first visit.
Your Second Visit
Your second visit – we will tell you what we have found & answer all of your questions
Dr Traynor will sit with you, and explain what we have found from your testing results of your first visit, in a way that is easy to understand, and give you ample time to ask any questions you may have about those findings.
At the end of this appointment you will understand your test results, what we can do to help, how long it may take and how much it will cost.
If we believe we can help, care typically begins on the second visit, and is then followed up with regular visits, as clinically indicated.
You should allow 45 minutes for your second visit.
Regular Visits
A regular visit will be much shorter, but is just as important! In fact most regular visits will only take about 5-10 minutes of your time. With a variety of appointment times available to suit your busy schedule.
We will take the time to discuss any changes you have noticed since your last visit and treatment. We will also repeat a few important tests that showed up in your initial examination, so we can continue to monitor your improvement. You will then receive your next spinal adjustment treatment.
Your care will involve spinal adjustments – these are gentle and specific movements to the spine and are performed differently depending on your age and the type of spinal problem in your case. Other techniques may include extremity adjusting and techniques to release muscles.
Your time, and your health, are important to us, and we work diligently to ensure your appointment times flow smoothly and efficiently. This allows you to get back out, and enjoying your life and your health.
As part of your regular visits we also include Progress Examinations. We will give you plenty of notice of these appointments, as they may take up to 30 minutes. These Progress Examinations help us to review your progress, give additional personalised lifestyle advice, and also allow you to share the changes you have been experiencing, as a result of your regular visits and care.
